Pot Care

Our pots are expertly crafted from a unique blend of clay and fired at extremely high temperatures, ensuring reduced porosity and excellent frost resistance. To enjoy the longevity and beauty of your pot for years to come, we recommend the following care steps:

Ensure Proper Drainage

Drainage is essential for maintaining your pot’s durability. Use our specially designed ‘feet’ to elevate the pot off the ground, regardless of the surface. This allows water to flow freely through the drainage hole, preventing waterlogging and reducing the risk of freezing.

Prepare Before Planting

Before planting, place a generous layer of large, broken crocks over the drainage hole. This creates an air gap for efficient water flow and prevents clogging. Periodically check and maintain this layer to ensure it remains effective.

Consider Placement

While our terracotta pots are strong and durable, it’s important to consider external elements when positioning them. Choose a sheltered location to protect your pot from potential damage caused by strong winds.

By following these steps, you can enjoy the timeless beauty and functionality of your terracotta pots for many years.
