For Alistair and Charlotte, the journey began over 30 years ago with the purchase of their first pots, sparking a lifelong appreciation for garden and interior design. A recent visit to Crete deepened this passion as they witnessed the artistry of skilled potters crafting sustainable, beautiful terracotta pieces using traditional techniques. Inspired to share these heritage creations, they founded Kilned Earth to bring the beauty of handcrafted terracotta to homes and gardens across the UK.

Melissa’s lifelong interest in ancient civilisations and Christian’s love of gardening and horticulture have also fuelled their admiration for the heritage and artistry behind terracotta pots. Whether used for planting or as stand alone features, they see each piece as a celebration of history, craftsmanship, and individuality.
